🎞️ DÉSIRER (2025)

A French multimedia AI art film by Ilgaz Küren

Born from a Turkish poem and transmuted into French, Désirer is a cinematic meditation on longing, pain, and the transformative power of creation. Using AI-generated visuals (SORA) and meticulous editing in Premiere Pro, Ilgaz Küren crafts a hauntingly poetic journey through desire, creative obsession, and the volatile bond between artist and muse.

“The very act of creation can be both salvation and sweet torture.”

🧠 Concept & Statement

What began as a Turkish poem about dangerous desire evolved into a multimedia exploration of the artist-muse relationship. By translating my words into French and crafting visuals through AI and careful editing, I sought to transform intensely personal experiences into a universal meditation on creative obsession.

Désirer inhabits the charged space between hedonism and pain, where destructive encounters become creative fuel. Through dreamlike sequences and deliberate editing, I aimed to blur the boundaries between pleasure and torment, revelation and mystery. The result is both a love letter to artistic inspiration and a warning about its costs.

This work stands as my testament to how we transform our darkest encounters into art, and how the very act of creation can be both salvation and sweet torture.
